Ranfurly Activity Centre is celebrating
all that is artistic on Friday March 30th at our annual art
extravaganza. Ranfurly Hall at 52-56 Ranfurly Road will be bursting at the
seams with paintings, prints, mixed media art, sculpture, pottery, mosaics,
crafts, photography, scrapbooking and loads of surprises to delight the hearts
and minds of all who visit.
Don’t be surprised to find yourself lost in amongst
an artistic orchestra or find you have been transported to Egypt with pyramids and
hieroglyphics. Visitors will be treated to a flock of peacocks fluttering and
strutting their beautiful plumage only to turn a corner to find they are in a
New Zealand forest discovering the history of the Hauraki Basin through dance,
costume and set design.
A miniature theatre with handmade puppets will be on
display along with many amazing mosaic art pieces. Let’s just say we’ve been
round the world and back in time bring you Artistic Manoeuvres! Exhibition will
be open for one night only between 6.30pm and 8.30pm with some tempting nibbles
from our creative culinary artists.
